Happy 4th of July

These girls are called The Cactus Cuties. They sang the national anthem at the Texas Tech-Baylor game Mar. 8, 2008 at the United Spirit Arena in Lubbock, TX. One of the girls is 8 years old, one is 13 and the other three are 11.

The whole thing is amazing, but pay attention to the end. The crowd remains silent all the way through the end of the national anthem, which tells you just how well these girls can sing.

Wow! Absolutly breath taking.

Now contrast that with that African-American jazz singer, who's name I happily forget, who instead of singing the National Anthem as contracted to do, sang the "Black anthem" to the tune of the Star Spangled Banner.

One of those evens instilled pride and unity and brought people to an ovation. The other created division, disgust, and boos.

Soup...post something so we know you didn't die, and/or that you didn't beam up in the rapture, leaving the rest of us behind.

I'm not dead. I'm addicted to political news, but I'm not dead.

I have a few topics that I was going to post a while ago but put aside and never got back to. It will be my goal to get something out by this time tomorrow.

Thanks for your concern. :)
